In April 2022, The Clean Energy plan in Colorado was formed to pave the way for coal to exit the energy industry by 2031. New clean energy will be introduced to the energy sector which includes solar and geothermal systems. With roughly 20% less of a carbon footprint than coal, solar and geothermal energy will dominate the Colorado economy for years to come.
